Ideal Shield’s Heavy Guardrail System is the strongest guardrail on the market; engineer tested to withstand multiple hits from a 12,000lb forklift traveling 8 mph when cored. The guardrail is modular; delivered on-site fully assembled and never requires painting. Lastly, the system can be placed within 6” to 8’’ of a wall which will maximize valuable floor space.

Standard Guardrail is made of 4’’ sch. 40 steel pipe rails and 2 1/2 sch. 80 steel pipe posts. SGR is engineer tested to withstand multiple hits from a 12,000lb forklift traveling 4 mph when cored. Heavy Guardrail is made of 6’’ sch. 40s steel pipe rails and 4’’ sch. 80 steel pipe posts. HGR is engineer tested to withstand multiple hits from a 12,000lb forklift traveling 8 mph when cored.

The Ideal Industrial Guardrail installation options include Core-In, Base Plated, Removable with Steel Floor Sleeve, or Core & Drop.

Our standard lengths are 4’, 6’, 8’, 10’, 12' sections. Custom lengths are available.

We use a no-weld process which allows the guardrail to disperse energy upon impact, creating a stronger, more durable guardrail. Once assembled, the posts and base plates will tighten into place and be stable for contact.
